WE ACCEPT CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN
Making Quality Dental Care More Affordable in Airdrie
At Kingsview Dental, we’re proud to accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) — the new federal dental benefit designed to help eligible Canadians access essential dental care at a lower cost.
Our friendly team is here to help you with everything CDCP-related — from checking your eligibility to understanding your coverage and submitting claims on your behalf.
We welcome CDCP patients from Kingsview, Kings Heights, Ravenswood, Lanark, Meadowbrook, Thorburn, Coopers Crossing, Bayside, Midtown, Reunion, Sagewood, Luxstone, Stonegate, Airdrie Meadows, Waterstone, Summerhill, Edgewater, and all across Airdrie.
WHAT IS THE CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a new federal dental benefit program funded by the Government of Canada and administered by Health Canada and Sun Life.
Its goal is to help Canadians without private dental insurance access important preventive and restorative dental care by paying part of the cost directly to participating dental offices, like Kingsview Dental.
It is not a completely free program — most patients pay a percentage (co-payment) based on their adjusted family net income and are responsible for any non-covered services.
In simple terms, the CDCP:
- Helps eligible Canadians pay for dental care
- Is funded by the Government of Canada
- Is administered by Sun Life on behalf of Health Canada
- Supports children, adults, and seniors who do not have private dental insurance

Highly recommended!!!Posted on Sebastian de GraafTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Over the course of the last 6 weeks I've been coming here to get my teeth fixed. They did a phenomenal job and actually took the time to help instead of suggesting to pull all my teeth like previous dentists. For the first time in what feels like a decade I'm not embarrassed to smile, and it's all thanks to this wonderful team. If you are looking for a dentist, I implore you to come here. They are caring, helpful, and do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable.Posted on Rob BiggsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HOW THE CDCP WORKS
The CDCP pays a percentage of the cost of eligible dental services. The percentage depends on your adjusted family net income:
| Adjusted Family Net Income | What CDCP Pays | Your Co-Payment |
|---|---|---|
| Under $70,000 | 100% of eligible CDCP fees | 0% |
| $70,000 – $79,999 | 60% of eligible CDCP fees | 40% |
| $80,000 – $89,999 | 40% of eligible CDCP fees | 60% |
Patients are responsible for:
- Any co-payment portion
- Any non-covered procedures
- Any difference between CDCP fee guide amounts and the clinic’s fee schedule, if applicable
Our team will always review your out-of-pocket costs in advance, so there are no surprises.

CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN IN AIRDRIE FAQs
What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
The CDCP is a federal government dental care initiative designed to make essential dental services more accessible and affordable for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance.
Who is eligible for the CDCP?
Eligibility is based on family net income and lack of private dental coverage. Residents with a household income under a certain threshold (typically under $90,000) without dental insurance may qualify, including seniors, children, and adults, depending on age and income criteria.
Is the CDCP completely free?
No. The CDCP pays a portion (or all, in some cases) of eligible dental costs based on your family income. You may still pay a co-payment and any non-covered services.
What dental services are covered under the CDCP?
Covered services can include preventive care (exams, cleanings), diagnostic services (X-rays), restorative treatments (fillings, crowns), periodontal services, oral surgery (extractions), and more — depending on eligibility and plan rules.
When can I start using my CDCP benefits?
Once your application is approved and you receive your CDCP confirmation and benefit details, you can begin booking covered dental services. Coverage start dates depend on approval timing.
Does Kingsview Dental bill CDCP directly?
Yes. We handle all direct billing to Sun Life for CDCP claims. You only pay your portion at the clinic.
Does CDCP cover all treatments?
No. Some procedures (especially cosmetic or elective upgrades) are not covered or require pre-authorization. We’ll go over all details before starting treatment.
Who manages the CDCP?
The program is funded by the Government of Canada, managed by Health Canada, and administered by Sun Life.
How can I learn more or apply?
Visit canada.ca/dental or contact our team at Kingsview Dental for help.
Can I use the CDCP with any dentist?
